As Grigor Dimitrov could not defend his 2009 Rotterdam points this week he loses 61 positions and falls to No 327.

The second best Bulgarian is Valentin Dimov at position 627 followed by Tihomir Grozdanov - at 641, Ivaylo Traykov - 686, Todor Enev - 791.

Rafael Nadal (Spain) moves to No 3 ahead of Andy Murray (Great Britain) as Roger Federer (Switzerland) and Novak Djokovic (Serbia) are No 1 and 2. From positions 5 to 10 the ranking is unchanged, No 5 is Juan Martin del Potro (Argentina) followed by Nikolay Davydenko (Russia), Andy Roddick (USA), Robin Soderling (Sweden), Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (France), Marin Cilic (Croatia).

Grigor Dimitrov and Devin Britton lost in the first round of the doubles of the ATP Challenger in Dallas, TX, USA, to the MexiansLuis Herrera / Javier Herrera-Eguiluz with a result of 6-2 1-6 [6-10].

Grigor Dimitrov lost his first round match against Marco Crugnola of Italy 6-3 2-6 2-6 in Dallas, Texas, USA. He did not gain any ATP ranking points and earned $520 of the prize money. Dimitrov's participation at the Dallas Challenger will continue in the doubles tournament.

Grigor Dimitrov with the American Devin Britton (18 y.o, singles ATP Rank 1466, no rank in doubles) will start with wild card in the main draw of the doubles tournament as in the first round they will play other wild card entrants the Mexicans Luis Herrera (38 y.o., non-ranked) / Javier Herrera-Eguiluz (25 y.o., singles - 1285, doubles - 654).


The first round match of Grigor vs Crugnola is on Monday at Court 8 after 3 other matches as the first one starts at 10 am local time. In the new ranking of the week of 1 February Marco Crugnola is at 227.

Grigor Dimitrov moves 10 positions ahead in the ATP Ranking of 1 February and this week he is at 258. In the doubles Grigor loses positions and this week is at 337.

After Australian Open there are several changes in Top 10. The champion of the first Grand Slam of the year Roger Federer (Switzerland) is No 1. Novak Djokovic (Serbia) is the new No 2 and the finalist Andy Murray (Great Britain) - the finalist at Australian Open is No 3. The ex No 2 Rafael Nadal (Spain) slides down to No 4. The positions from 5 to 8 are unchanged and are occupied by Juan Martin del Potro (Argentina), Nikolay Davydenko (Russia), Andy Roddick (USA) and Robin Soderling (Sweden). Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (France) moves to No 9 and Marin Cilic (Croatia) closes the Top 10 by moving 4 positions ahead.

Valentin Dimov is the new No 2 Bulgarian tennis player at position 652 only 2 positions ahead of Tihomir Grozdanov. Ivaylo Traykov and Todor Enev are respectively at 688 and 809.
