Grigor Dimitrov succeeded to the get place in the main draw of the ATP 250 tournament in Nice, France. Dimitrov defeated the Frenchman Eric Prodon 4-6 6-1 6-4. For this win Grigor gained 12 ranking points and 4080 EUR of the prize money.
In the first round of the main draw Grigor will play Dudi Sela of Israel. The 27-years-old Sela is No 71, back in 2009 he reached his best rank of No 29. Earlier this year Sela reached the semifinals of ATP tournament in Memphis. Dudi Sela and Grigor Dimitrov have played only once before and it was Sela who won during the Challenger in Israel in 2010.
Top seed of the main draw is the American John Isner, No 10. The seeded player on the upper part of the draw are No 14 Gael Monfils of France, No 32 Bernard Tomic of Australia and No 43 Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan.
Dimitrov is on the lower part of the draw where in the second round he could meet Seed 2 and world No 12 Gilles Simon of France. No 13 Spaniard Nicolas Almagro, No 40 Dutch Robin Haase and No 45 Italian Fabio Fognini are the other seed players.

Grigor Dimitrov advanced to the main draw entry decisive round after defeated the Brazilian Joao Souza 6-3 7-6(3) at the 450'000 EUR ATP tournament in Nice, France. Grigor gained 6 ranking points for his second win of the day.
On Sunday, at 12pm CET, Dimitrov plays Eric Prodon of France. The 30-years-old Frenchman is No 116 with best rank being No 83. Prodon won 7 ATP Challenger title in his career.
The players who pass the qualifications would have for opponents Sergiy Stakhovsky (Ukraine), Mikhail Kukushkin (Kazakhstan), Donald Young (USA), Dudi Sela (Israel).

Grigor Dimitrov defeated the wild card entry Alexandre Sidorekno of France, No 389, in the first round of the qualifications of the ATP 250 tournament in Nice, France. In the first set Dimitrov succeeded to break when the score was 5-5 and then won the set. In the second set Sidorenko won an early break-point and reached to 2-0 lead. Dimitrov broke in his order for 2-2. And it was again when it was 5-5 Grigor broke the service game of the Frenchman and then won the second set and the match 7-5 7-5.
Grigor gains no ranking points for advancing to the next round. The Brazilian Joao Souza is the opponent who Dimitrov in the second round of the qualifications. The match is on Central Court and is expected to start at about 5:30 pm CET on Saturday. Souza is No 118, he is specialist on clay. The Brazilian has 3 Challenger titles and 5 ITF Futures titles in his career so far.

Grigor Dimitrov missed two match points when he was leading 6-3 5-4 and eventually the No 150 Aljaz Bedene of Slovenia took advantage and took the second set. Grigor was not able to resist and Bedene took also the third set 6-2 and won the match. Dimitrov left the tournament with 8 ranking points which will help him to gain 2-3 positions in the ATP rankings.
Dimitrov is in the entry list of the qualifications tournament of Rome Masters and should start on Saturday.

In the first round of the 85K EUR Challenger in Prague, Czech Republic, Grigor Dimitrov defeated the representative of the local nation Jan Hajek, No 127, 6-3 7-5. Grigor gained 8 ranking points and 1460 EUR so far.
In the second round Dimitrov will play Aljaz Bedene of Slovenia, No 150. Bedene won 2 Challenger titles in the past 3 months - Barletta and Casablanca. Dimitrov-Bedene match is on Wednesday is at about 3:30 - 4:30 pm CET.

On Tuesday Grigor Dimitrov will start in the first round of the €85'000 ATP Challenger in Prague Czech Republic. In the first round Grigor's opponent is Jan Hajek, No 127. Back in 2009 in the only match between them Dimitrov was defeated by Hajek at the Challenger in Trnava.
The seeded players in the lower part of the draw along with Dimitrov are also No 65 Lukas Lacko, Slovakia, No 79 Lukas Rosol, Czech Republic, No 101 Martin Klizan, Slovakia. Seed 1 and world No 63 Dudi Sela of Israel is the upper part with the Germans No 81 Tobias Kamke, No 102 Matthias Bachinger, No 105 Daniel Brands.
Grigor Dimitrov lost 2 positions and is at No 96 in this week's ATP Ranking.

Grigor Dimitrov had no problems against the non-ranked Racket No 1 of Albania Flavio Dece and won the match 6-1 6-1. Earlier today Dimitar Kuzmanov was also convincing in the match against Rei Pelushi with giving only one game to the Albanian 6-1 6-0. The Bulgarian pair of the experienced Todor Enev and Petar Trandafilov for whom this was a Davis Cup debut smashed the Albanians Flavio Dece/Rei Pelushi 6-0 6-2. So on day 1 Bulgaria defeated Albania 3-0.
On Friday the Bulgarian team will play Georgia with 2 players that are listed in ATP ranking - George Tsivadze, No 1257, and Alexndre Metreveli, No 1491.

Grigor Dimitrov is the lead player of the Bulgarian team in the Davis Cup tournament that starts today at Carlsberg National Tennis Center, Sofia, Bulgaria. It is Group III Zone Europe of Davis Cup. 2 teams will be promoted to Group II Zone Europe/Africa.
Thirteen nations will participate in format that starts with round-robin in 4 pools. Bulgarian is in pool B with Albania and Georgia.
Pool A includes the teams of Andorra, Lithuania and San Marino. The nations in Pool C are Montenegro, Armenia and Macedonia and there are 4 teams in Pool D: Greece, Norway, Malta and Iceland.
The winner of Pool B will meet the winner of Pool C in a play-off tie for promotion to Group II. Another play-off will be played between the winners of Pool A and Pool D.
Grigor Dimitrov is with Dimitar Kuzmanov, Todor Enev and Petar Trendafilov in the Bulgarian national team.
Today the Bulgarian team will play matches against Albania. The singles match of the second rackets starts at 11 h local time (10 h CET). Dimitrov will play Flavio Dece (no ATP rank) at 13:40 h local time (12:40 CET). The doubles match is at 16 h local time (15 h CET). The channels of the Bulgarian national television BNT1, BNT2 and BNT World will broadcast the matches.
Ognyan Iliev, the captain of the Bulgarian team said that there is no place for any plans and calculations and the promotion to Group II is mandatory.
