Best Ever Rank for Grigor Dimitrov in Singles and Doubles
15 Sep 2009
Grigor Dimitrov reched best ever ATP rankings both in singles and doubles. In the singles Grigor moves 16 positions ahead to 255, and 44 positions ahead in the doubles to go to 665.

Tihomir Grozdanov is No 2 Bulgarian tennis player at position 585 while Ivaylo Traykov is No 3 at position 660. Once top Bulgarian Todor Enev goes behind Valentin Dimov and Tzvetan Mihov.

Expectedly there are several position changes in Top 10. The finalist of US Open Roger Federer, Switzerland, leads the ranking, while Rafael Nadal, Spain, moves back to position 2 ahead of Andy Murray, Great Britain. The Serbian Novak Djokovic is at position 4. The US Open winner Juan Martin del Potro, Argentina, moves to position 5 followed by Andy Roddick. The Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Nikolay Davydenko are at positions 7 and 8 respectively. The Spaniard Fernando Verdasco moves to position 9 ahead of Gilles Simon of France.

#2: Unfortunately he will lose positions, probably more than 100, so he will fall to about 350 because he has to defend 70+ points he gained last September in futures tournaments in Spain. If he wins 1-2 challenger tournaments in the next 2 weeks he would be in a better position but for now it seems a bit unrealistic to expect challenger titles from him.
