Grigor Dimitrov defeated Seed 5 Blaz Kavcic of Slovenia in the second round of the 30`000 EUR Challenger in Italy with a result of 6-4 6-2. Grigor demonstrated a steady game against  the 209-ranked Slovenian with 5 aces and no double faults with 70% success on first service.

With his second round win Grigor Dimitrov will gain 875 EUR of the prize money and 13 ATP points in addition to the points won in the qualifications.

In the quarterfinals Grigor will play Seed 1 Benjamin Becker. The 101-ranked German defeated Grigor Dimitrov in the start round of he Rhodes Challenger 6-2 6-3. Becker won the challengers in Heilbronn, Baton Rouge, Rhodes and reached the final in Ramat Hasharon.
