Grigor Dimitrov with his partner Marsel Ilhan (Turkey) won the quarterfinal match of the doubles of the ATP Challenger in Istanbul, Turkey. Grigor/Marsel defeated Seed 1Karol Beck (Slovakia) and Jiri Krkoska (Czech Republic) with a result of 7-6(8) 2-6 [10-6] and gained 27 points and 1080 USD of the prize money.

In the semi-finals on Friday Dimitrov/Ilhan will play the French pair Nicolas Mahut / Edouard Roger-Vasselin.

On Thursday, 14 August 2009, Grigor Dimitrov will play his match for entry in the quarterfinals against the Austrian Martin Fischer which will start at 5 p.m. local time.
