First ATP Masters Quarterfinal for Grigor Dimitrov after Defeating Mayer. Next Opponent: Rafael Nadal

Grigor Dimitrov defeated Flotian Mayer of Germany 6-2 6-4 in 67 minutes in the 3rd round match of ATP Tour Masters in Monte Carlo and advanced for the first time in his career to quarter finals of tournament of this rank. Mayer is the 3rd player in a row from whom Grigor Dimitrov had only losses until now. The Bulgarian is now 1-1 with Malisse and Mayer and 1-3 with Tipsarevic.

With the the points won for reaching the quarterfinals Grigor Dimitrov will be in Top 30 in next Monday's ATP ranking. Based on the current points Grigor is ranked 27.

Tomorrow Grigor Dimitrov will be on court against 3rd seed and world No 5 Rafael Nadal, eight time defending champion of the tournament. Four years ago in Rotterdam then 17-years-old Dimitrov succeeded to take a set but lost to Nadal 5-7 6-3 2-6.

#2: Absolutely agree with that!Can't wait the match against Nadal.I think will be a great show of tennis tomorow,no matter how will end the game.Grisha is the only young player who realy creating on the court and make as to believe that tennis have no limits, truly like Roger many years ago!
