In the ATP rankings of 30 November Grigor Dimitrov moved 2 positions ahead and occupies No 287 in the singles. In the doubles he gains one position and is at his best ever position of 345.

Grigor Dimitrov moved 7 positions ahead in the ATP ranking and occupies position 289 this week. In the doubles he reaches best ever position of 346.

This week No 2 best ranked Bulgarian is Tihomir Grozdanov who moves ahead of Valentin Dimov who are at 654 and 658 respectively. Ivaylo Traykov is at 707 and Todor Enev - 749.

The Bulgarian Tennis Federation expectedly chose Grigor Dimitrov as No 1 Bulgarian tennis player of 2009. In a special press-conference the federation presented the winners. Grigor Dimitrov keeps his last week's position 296 of the ATP Ranking. In the doubles he reached his best ever position of 352.

Most of the Bulgarians in the ranking gain positions. No 2 is Valentin Dimov - at position 660 only 3 positions ahead of Tihomir Grozdanov - 663. Ivaylo Traykov is at 714 and Todor Enev is at 750.

Grigor Dimitrov withdrew from the $50K ATP Challenger in Champaign, Illinois, USA. So the Knoxville Challenger was the last tournament that he participated at this year....

Grigor Dimitrov and Filip Prpic (Sweden) passed to the quarterfinals of the 50K USD in Knoxville, USA. Because of foot injury of Witten it was the lucky losers Brian and Dann Battistone who started in the doubles tournament. Dimitrov/Prpic defeated the Battistone brothers 6-3 6-2 and won 13 ATP doubles points and would share 640 USD of the prize money.

Ilija Bozoljac of Serbia defeated Grigor Dimitrov 6-4 6-4 in the first round of the 50'000 USD ATP Challenger in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. This is the second time when Bozoljac wins - earlier this year Grigor lost to him at Nottingham Challenger.

For second tournament in a row Grigor Dimitrov will play with Filip Prpic (Sweden) as doubles partner. Dimitrov / Prpic will play their first round match of the doubles of the Knoxville Challenger in Tennessee on Tuesday or Wednesday against the Americans Alex Kuznetsov and Jesse Witten.

It is the Serbian Ilija Bozoljac who Grigor Dimitrov will play in the first round of the main draw of the challenger in Tennessee with. Bozoljac is 24 y.o. from Belgrade and is currently 205th in the current ATP ranking.

Due to withdrawals of 2 players from the initial entry list of the main draw the seeds 1 and 2 of the qualifications Filip Prpic (Sweden) and Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria) moved to the main draw and will start in the first round on Monday or Tuesday, 9 or 10 November 2009.
