Andy Murray seems to be still very strong for Grigor Dimitrov. In the third round of the ATP Masters in Miami World No 3 beat No 1 Bulgarian tennis player in straight sets 7-6(3) 6-3. The overall score of the 3 matches is 3-0 for the British player. Last year it was in Miami when Dimitrov won his first and only of 19 matches over Top 10 player, he defeated then No 7 Tomas Berdych in the third round. For leaving the singles tournament earlier Grigor was not able to defend the 90 ranking points and would slide down to about No 34 next Monday.

Grigor's father Dimitar Gospodinov, captain of the Bulgarian team for Davis Cupannouncedthe team members and Grigor is not among them. Next week Bulgaria will play Estonia in a play-off tie to remain in Group II, Europe-Africa Zone.

Dimitrov skips the tournaments of the week of 8 April and will play next at the Masters in Monte Carlo from 14 April.

Dimitrov stays in Miami as with his partner Frederik Nielsen of Denmark they reached the quarterfinals of the doubles tournament. On Wednesday they will play Tommy Haas, Germany, and Xavier Malisse, Belgium.
