Grigor Dimitrov could not resist the more experienced Daniel Btands in the first round of the main draw of the AON Open Challenger tournament in Genova Italy. After leading in the result 7-6 4-6 4-0 Grigor allowed his opponent to reach 5-5 in the third set followed by 6-6 and tie-break which Daniel Brands took 7-2. Grigor leaves the singles tournament without ATP points and 885 EUR of the prize money.
On Wednesday Dimitrov and Giannessi will start in the doublestournamentagainst the Italian pair Thomas Fabbiano / Walter Trusendiat 3:30 pm CET at Court 2.
