Grigor Dimitrov started by defeating the seed 1 of the 106'500 EUR ATP Challenger in Helsinki Finland. With a score of 7-6(4) 7-5 Dimitrov upset the German Tobias Kamke, ATP rank 66. This was the 5th win over Top 100 player in the career of Grigor.

The young Bulgarian won 10 ATP ranking points. In the second round the opponent of Grigor will be the Russian Konstantin Kravchuk of Russia, 25 years old, ATP rank 127. Earlier this year Dimitrov defeated Kravchuk in the final of the first ATP challenger in Bangkok, Thailand.
