Grigor Dimitrov started perfectly in the main draw of the ATP 250 tournament in the Bavarian capital of Munich. Within only 23 minutes Grigor took the first set 6-1 of Andreas Beck of Germany who entered the tournament with wild card. When serving Dimitrov was brilliant by giving only 2 points to his opponents and won the 2 of the 3 break-points. In the second set the score reached 3-3 then it was Grigor who broke to 4-3. Then he took his service game to 5-3 and could not use the chance to win the set with another break. Eventually the Bulgarian won his service game to 6-4. So with a score of 6-1 6-4 Dimitrov passed to the second round of the tournament guaranteeing 6'595 EUR and 20 ATP ranking points.

On Wednesday Dimitrov will play the winner of the match between Julien Benneteau of France, No 83, and Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus, No 25, Seed 4.

Grigor Dimitrov entered also the doubles tournament with partner Philipp Petzschner of Germany and in the first round the Bulgarian-German pair will meet Seed 3 Robin Haase, the Netherlands, and Lukasz Kubot, Poland.
