After 4 consecutive losses Grigor Dimitrov took his first win. At the start of Mutua Madrid Open the 12th seeded Dimitrov defeated Philipp Kohlschreiber of Gemany 7-6(7) 6-4. This was the first match of Dimitrov and the ex No 16 Kohlschreiber.
