Grigor Dimitrov and his partner Filip Prpric (Sweden) defeated Kevin Kim (USA) / Cecil Mamiit (Philippine) 7-6(4) 6-3 in the first round of the doubles of Virginia National Bank Championship in Charlottesville. The Bulgarian-Swedish pair win 13 ATP points and will share $640 of prize money for reaching the quarterfinals.
Their opponents for the match in Thursday will be decided between Seed 4 Ilija Bozoljac (Serbia) / Nicholas Monroe (USA) and the wild card holders Dominic Inglot (Great Britain) / Rylon Rizza (USA).
On Wednesday at about 7:00 pm local time (Thursday 1:00 am CET) Grigor will start his second round in singles vs Seed 1 Michael Russell at court 7.
