ATP Rank 7 Gilles Simon Stopped Grigor Dimitrov in London

Grigor Dimitrov lost his second round match versus the ATP Rank No 7 Gilles Simon of France in two sets 6-7(7) 6-7(5). Aegon Championships in Queen`s Club, London with prize money of 750,000 EUR is one of the prestigeous tournaments on grass before Wimbledon.

The two players had to play tie-break in the first set as both players took their service games to 6-6. Grigor Dimitrov missed to set points, Gilles Simon took advantage to win 9-7.

In the second set Dimitrov took break-point to 4-2 but Simon break the next game to 4-3. Both Grigor and Gilles took their service game to reach again to tie-break. Gilles Simon closed the match with 7-5 in the tie-break.

Grigor Dimitrov leaves the tournament with 10 ATP points and 5775 EUR of the prize money. In less than two weeks time Dimitrov will play with wild card in the first round of Wimbledon, his first Grand Slam match after his two junior Grand Slam titles last year - Wimbledon and US Open.
