Grigor Dimitrov Returns to Brisbane for His 10th Appearance
08 December 2025
Two-time champion and crowd favorite Grigor Dimitrov is set to begin his 2026 campaign at the Brisbane International, which will run from 4 to 11 January 2026 at the Queensland Tennis Centre.

For the Bulgarian star, this will mark his 10th appearance at the event — a milestone in a tournament with which his name is closely associated.

Dimitrov lifted the Brisbane trophy in 2017, defeating Kei Nishikori, and again in 2024, when he claimed the title after beating Holger Rune. These achievements cement his status as one of the standout performers in the tournament’s history.

Tournament organisers have already confirmed several other top male players for 2026. Among them is world No. 13 Daniil Medvedev, returning to Australia to kick off his season, as well as Australian home-favourite Alexei Popyrin, currently ranked No. 54.

With Dimitrov and other top competitors in the field, fans can expect world-class tennis and another exciting start to the season on one of his favorite stops on tour.
